Years ago on Christmas day, my Grandpa was walking the dog towards the Bill from Southwell on, as far as I can remember, the West Cliff. A man walked towards him from the Bill direction and as they met Grandpa said "Hello" and "Merry Christmas" and…

The Royal Manor Theatre has a Ghost, I was tape recording some sound effects in the 80's, and when I played back...there was a Operatic singing voice, which was only just hearable. And yes, it was a fresh tape. I have also heared footsteps and doors…

I sadly think it will do no real long term good for Portland or its residents the wke regis road by pass shelved yet again before we even get to the Olympics until a road structure is put in to place to develop a healthier access Portland remains on…

Phil, I really cannot see any benifits whatsoever to the people of Portland. Perhaps School children will benifit to a degree, and having a new sailing facility it may inspire the young of the Island to dabble in the Marine sector. But as for the re…

This is what I said on the BBC 'Countdown to 2012' website when the decision was announced:- Welcome to Portland, 2012 Olympics!! The Underhill area of The Island of Portland - the backdrop to the Sailing Academy is desperately in need of a lift. It…

Not exactly a ghost story but very strange. Many years ago I did see intermittent white lights coming out of the sea near what was the degaussing range near Portland harbour. I watched them through binoculars for about 10 minutes as they rose into t…

Good to see a common sense Descision... Easton is no stranger to traffic chaos, trying to park with a car is always a challenge. A lot of people will be able to walk to the new shop and a lot of people will have no need to go to the mainland, that a…

Hi Phil Andys bike is now on the road but still very much a work in progress
it has a range of about 50 miles at the moment but this will be improved once the rear wheel will charge the batterys under brakeing and when going down hill he is also going to up the gearing as it has loads of torq and a change to belt drive will cut out the chain noise that you can hear on the video.
Hope that helps Phil I will put a better video on when i get one.
Cheers Griff.
PS it does about 40 MPH at the moment.
